Crouching Tom, hidden weapons.

The June Ball is meant to be the greatest night of your life but not many realise that over 17% of Durham students will experience physical or verbal aggression during their time at Durham. It's important to prepare for any eventuality but, as all karate masters know, combat is the last resort. That is to say: "you learn to fight so you don't have to fight."

This video features extremes of violence and some foul language. We have provisionally rated the film as an 18 (UK). ***DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RECREATE THIS AT HOME***

Apologies for the end of the video. Will has agreed to allow us to upload the video because of the critical nature of its content. We have now reconciled our differences and have drawn up an official definition of the term 'safety word'. This is available for download here.

If there is one person in the world I wouldn't trust for advice on self defence, it's Tom, given the number of times he's been assaulted (or overpowered by a girl) and come out with severe injuries, concussion, free bags of peas, loss of vision, loss of pride and potential loss of virility.

  2. If you ever find yourself in a fight with either Tom or Will, tickle them, They will retreat immediately, Tom will even do so while screaming like a seven year old girl guide.
